Special Delivery!

Hello there!! Lili of the Valley May Sketch Challenge is alive on their Facebook page until 6 p.m. UK time on Sunday 15th; you only need to follow the sketch and use a LOTV image.

I'm joining this challenge by entering a baby card.

First, I stamped the cute Balloon Basket. Then, I created the sky using a sponge dauber and distress ink. After that, I colored the image with markers and colored pencils.
The sentiment is a rub-on sticker, which fits perfectly with the image.
Finally, I embellished it with two cute heart buttons.

Here is my finished card...

Here's the Sketch

Peacock Feathers

Hello there! I've seem some cards on Instagram using the "camouflage" technique, which I really like and wanted to give it a try.

First, I stamped two peacock feathers and then die cut that section using a small stitched rectangle die. To make it pop out, I die cut the same rectangle several times, glued them together into the opening and adhered the original die-cut piece on top.

Then, I die cut the peacock from white cardstock and heat embossed it using green embossing powder for the body. For the tail I wanted a teal, and since I don't have that color, I created my own by mixing green and blue embossing powder.

Finally, I stamped the sentiment using red and orange ink to add a bit of color and to complement the teal color.

My card was inspired by CAS(E) this Sketch #171, and  Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge this week the challenge is: Emboss it!

Here's my card...

Here is a better look of the tail and the color I managed to get by mixing green and blue embossing powder.

¡Hola y bienvenidos!
